Ladywell Unit exhibition opens

Jean Cozens and Barry Leaf, Facilities Manager, at the opening

Family and friends, people who work in the hospital, current and former patients, and many people who fit into more than one category, (if you like to put people in categories) came along to make the evening. Thanks to all who attended, and those who helped out on the night. It's the first art exhibition to be held at the Ladywell, and we hope others will follow. The show runs until the end of January and is open to the general public - just ask at reception.

Exhibition at Lewisham Hospital

Regime in Blue (watercolour, 20"x14")
Opening 19 November 2008 till end January 2009. These 9 watercolours explore routines, schedules and prescriptions, through colour, words and pattern. Thanks to Barry Leaf and the facilities department for their help with the exhibition. We hope to establish the cafe as an exhibition space for other people to show their work in the future.

Two watercolours painted in the Dordogne. I like to paint directly from the subject, keeping the freshness of my original response. Cottage painting nfs. Barn 60cmx30cm approx.
